With lending requirements tightening, some increased requirements are to have specific parts of a home inspected prior to loaning money. Many of these requirements are as follows:

Often the answer is "NO" to licensed, since FHA is a federal level lender, and licensing is performed at the state levels. So states that do not have licensing requirements often have ,state or third-party, certifications that inspectors can c9omplete to verify their ability in performing an inspection.

How Do You Prepare A Home For An Inspection?

Insist on all the utilities being on, water, electricity, gas, etc.
Have the septic system tank located and cover made accessible.
Have the home's water supply flushed (5-10 mins) the day BEFORE inspection.
Have all stored items moved/removed to allow for a proper termite inspection.
